BMW Rider of Knoxville

Dear BMW ROK - Letters to BMW ROK

A note from President Phil Daulton:

Folks,

I just back into town this evening and had two
messages, from Geoffrey Greene and Richard Webb, about
Ron Vogel.

Ron was killed Saturday (September 9) in a motorcycle accident in
Morgan County, near Sunbright, during a Time Warp
Vintage Club group ride.

Ron was a past vice president of the ROK during the
time that Al Kuntz was president. He was also active
with the Honda Sport Touring Association, and was an
MSF instructor.

I did a trip to the Barber Museum several years ago
with Ron, Richard Webb and Harold Harrison. Ron was a
low key kind of guy, and has not been affiliated with
the ROK since he stepped down as VP. I had not seen
him since the benefit ride for Todd Long a couple of
years ago, but I will miss him none the less.

Ron was retired from the United States Air Force.

I will pass along funeral information to the
membership as I get it.

If anyone is interested in maybe being a part of a
motorcycle funeral escort for Ron, please let me know,
in case this opportunity arises.

Regards,
Phil Daulton
