Icicles and Motorcicles Ride - Sunday, Feb. 18th
Once again, Mother Nature is not cooperating for our ride this Saturday, but it appears there may be a small window to get it in on this Sunday, the 18th. For those of you who have not traded your bikes for a boat, let’s shoot for Sunday morning at Lenoir City Buddy’s BBQ at 9:15. Don’t polish your bikes before the ride. I’m sure we will encounter some wet streets even if we don’t get caught in any rain. Looks like a decent day, in the low 60s in Blue Ridge. See u Sunday unless the forecast changes again. Keep reading emails and checking website or call me to make sure if you like.

Destination: Blue Ridge, Georgia
Start Point: Buddy’s BBQ – 1104 Hwy. 321N, Lenoir City, TN – Inside the Shell station on right just before Shoney’s
Yes, I know that’s not how you spell “Motorcycles”, but it sounded better that way with “Icicles”. Come join me for a brisk ride across the border into Georgia. Pay no attention to that snowflake on your instrument panel. We will have a delicious lunch in Blue Ridge while riding some wonderful roads to and from our lunchtime destination. Rough route is as follows:
Lenoir City, Greenback, Vonore, Tellico Plains, Coker Creek, Farner, Turtletown, Harbuck, Ducktown, Copperhill, Mineral Bluff, Blue Ridge, LUNCH
AFTER LUNCH – Blue Ridge, Epworth, McCaysville, Copperhill, Ducktown, Reliance, Athens, Sweetwater, Loudon, Lenoir City Weigel’s on 321 just North of the Interstate ( End Point ).
Now all you have to do is figure out how I get between each point. My last winter ride netted 23 riders on a 28 degree morning, so let’s see if we can get there again. I especially want to invite any new members to come along and see what we’re all about. Visitors welcome as well. Be looking for e-mail or on our website late in the week in case the ride changes to Saturday, or is scrubbed due to nasty weather. If you don’t hear or see anything, it is on as planned. You can also call or text me at 865-659-6500 if any questions at any time. I guesstimate this ride will take us till around 5:00, but group size, group speed, duration of lunch, traffic, group crashes, ice cream and donut shops, whether or not Wishart goes, and body part thawing stops can all play a part in our return time home. Hope to see everyone there. Think “SUMMER”.
